Welcome to our website…
Home to dedicated and innovative people, the residents of Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa Conservative Association (DSRNCA) exemplify the rural values of hard work, thrift, creativity, and determination. In addition to the First Nation communities, the DSRNCA riding is home to people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds. The values and skills of the resident of DSRNCA have forged communities that grow and thrive in the face of challenging world markets and the uncertain trade policies of our trading partners, not to mention wide fluctuations in incomes due to volatility on world commodity markets.
There are many diversified agricultural operations that are exporting product right across the world. There are a number of value-added processing facilities such as Springhill Farms in Neepawa that provide jobs and incomes to many rural residents. These and other value-added agricultural processing enterprises are diverse and growing.
The region hosts a wide variety of tourism and hospitality enterprises that provide many income and job opportunities. This area also boasts a commercial forestry sector that ranges from small, family-run operations to larger enterprises plus forest product processing facilities. Commercial fishing is important in some areas. There are growing opportunities in information technology as entrepreneurs take advantage of the high quality of life in the area to establish “information industries” that conduct business around the globe. Furthermore, there is a thriving and diversified small business sector and a wide variety of public institutions that provide necessary services to our population. Importantly, the DSRNCA has within its boundaries Riding Mountain National Park which provides bountiful recreational opportunities for both residents and visitors alike.
The people of DSRNCA believe in future of their communities and are passionately dedicated to the preservation of their way of life. They look upon every challenge as an opportunity and through their creativity and hard work will ensure a bright future for this region.
